PKS Council on aging building

The Leon Mann Jr. Enrichment Center in Morehead City has been a hub for Carteret County seniors since 1997.

Operated by the Carteret County Senior Services Department, the Center empowers adults 50+ to live active, independent, and connected lives. In June 2025, it was recertified as a North Carolina Senior Center of Excellence, reflecting its ongoing commitment to high-quality services.

The Center provides a welcoming space for older adults of all backgrounds to stay healthy, engaged, and socially connected. Membership is free for county residents over 50 with a simple registration form. Seniors age 60+ can also enjoy a free daily lunch.
