We’ve been listening… and exploring solutions.
This Council is grounded in the results of the 1-question survey fielded earlier this year and is focused on finding ways to make life a bit better/easier for senior individuals and their caregivers living in Pine Knoll Shores. We received multiple comments across a wide range of needs. This posting focuses on individuals who identified transportation issues as well as a need for non-medical in-home care for brief periods of time.
Expressed needs included, but were not limited to:
- Getting to doctor visits
- Pharmacy pick-ups
- Grocery shopping
- Airport transportation
- Relief for round-the-clock caregivers
The following is not an exhaustive list of possible solutions. Some of these agencies may already be known to you though their offerings may have changed. All of them require payment. Most post reasonable rates. Over time, we will build on this list as we become aware of new options.
Call ahead to inquire about specific destinations and rates. Services must be scheduled in advance.
