As you know, many of our residents have needs that require specialized skills, e.g., plumbers, landscape professionals, electricians, food delivery services, medical professionals, handyman, etc.
Your neighbors have provided lists of home maintenance and medical professionals and can speak from experience with these providers. You don’t have to rely on just ‘names online.’
We asked our Council members to identify each service provider (home maintenance as well as medical professional) that they have had a good personal experience with, would be comfortable calling again if needed, or mentioning them to a neighbor/friend.
Specifically, the lists reflect service providers that serve Pine Knoll Shores and rate 8, 9, or 10 on a scale of 10 where 10 is excellent.
These lists are available in hard copy at PKS Town Hall. Updates will be announced on this site as well as our Facebook page.
These highly rated companies are generally described as those that:
- Are easy to get a hold of: the call is answered by a receptionist; if you leave a message by email/text, the call is returned generally within 24 hours.
- Kept the appointment you made.
- Called/texted you if there were a change to the appointment or to an agreed schedule.
- Are professional and polite in conversation, appearance, and work style.
- Understood the project.
- Followed up on all issues/questions related to the project after it was completed.
- On completion, cleaned up the workspace in your home.
- You felt the fees charged were reasonable for the job done.
